So clockspeeds on the GPU barely reaches its max boost clocks. GPU usage is a joke also, going from anywhere between 40%-99% usage. The CPU gets battered in this game, 1-2 threads are basically fully loaded and another 3-4 threads seem to just spike between 5-15%. And if you are in combat during this time it could be even longer for the stutter to stop. The stutter is INSANE, frame rate can drop to 0FPS and the whole game just stops multiple times within a 5-10 second window. ![]() The stutter when going from area to area, which is just walking around as the game is basically stitched together open world. It seems they spent majoirty of their time working on the look, feel, and sound of the game and completely left out optimisation and bug fixes. They are still there just nowhere near as bad.Īfter playing for a while longer now level 13-14. Seems too fix a lot of stuttering issues. But try running the game in borderless windows mode or even windowed mode. UPDATE on the performance, not sure if this is a game thing, or a hardware thing. If you have a weaker/older CPU I would seriously consider skipping this game, waiting for patches, or getting it on consoles. The game is EXTREMELY CPU dependant even at 1440p Ultra my 6800XT hovers around the 70% usage mark where the 5900X can get upto 20-30% usage (it does use cores/treads quite well). This is also where the game is broken, you will be happily walking around with great visuals great performance and then suddenly the game is a slideshow where it loads in a new area and this is on a system with a 5900X, 32GB 3600MHz RAM, and a 6800XT. Then we come too the streaming in of assets. Its annoying and is one of the reasons why I have no idea why people keep using this trash engine. The list goes on and on, its nowhere near as bad as some triple A developers attempt at a cyberpunk game though.Īlso, the STUTTER!!!! OMFG THE STUTTER!! The infamous Unreal Engine stutter is in full swing here and present even on consoles. Getting stuck in the environment, icons not working, armour not applying to character, weapons disappearing, checkpoints not working, weapons not firing, aiming is off depending on environment, camera gets stuck, etc, etc. The game simply is not ready for release, consistent bugs have cropped up. A team of 12 developers managed to nail the cyberpunk feel better than a multi billion dollar triple A developer. Atmosphere is outstanding, the game world feels alive. The gameplay is solid, guns feel meaty and sounds punchy. DX12 is a complete no go, consistent stutter, crashes every couple minutes. ![]()
